Wordpress.com Information

Wordpress.com is a great solution for building your own webiste with a lot of the Wordpress.org capabilities but without going into code or hosting at all. Wordpress.com is a separate platform from Wordpress.org which is an open source CMS while this version is a fully hosted service. Note that the backend is actually pretty similar to the open source version exept for a few small things so if you've ever used a Wordpress website before, this won't look strange to you.

While Wordpress.com has a free version, there are a few hosted versions too.

Free Wordpress Plan

The Wordpress.com free plan is a great way to start out. Keep in mind that you will be creating on a Wordpress.com subdomain, however you can always upgrade afterwards if you want.

Personal Wordpress Plan

The personal plan will get you on a domain name of your own, remove the Wordpress.com advertising on the free version, domain based email and live support.

Premium Wordpress Plan

Get access to design tools as well as CSS editing abilities, lots of disk space and the option to add ads to your website and start monetizing.

Business Wordpress Plan

Unlimited amount of Wordpress themes available for downloading, the Wordpress.org plugin ability is available here too. Google analytics support for businesses and unimited storage.
